Counties with Multiple Jurisdictions

County Jurisdiction
Cook Chicago
DuPage Aurora
Kane Aurora
Kendall Aurora
Knox Galesburg
McLean Bloomington
Peoria Peoria
St. Clair East St. Louis
Vermilion Danville
Will Aurora
Winnebago Rockford

Because Aurora is in four counties, there is a total of 11 counties that have multiple jurisdictions.

After someone agrees to sign the petition, you first ask them what county they are registered in. If they answer that they are from one of the counties above, you will then ask them if they live in the city listed to the right of their county above.

We suggest you print this and carry this page with you if you are collecting signatures at events where there are voters from multiple counties.

Petitions for the Aurora jurisdiction are the only petitions on which signatures are allowed from multiple counties: DuPage, Kane, Will, and Kendall.
